anyone know where I can find the idle mango map? it was this map with a mountain background and nothing else, no walls floor etc just this cp floating in the air and people would die when they joined a team and wouldnt respawn for the max (not part of map but you get the idea) and kept cpu usage really low and could get items using the map...

I'd love to see this map because I join the server I run just before I go to bed (it's an idle server), and leave myself to idle overnight (which is why as of now, I have 121.5 hrs past 2 weeks played time).

Unfortunately, it's hard for me to get to sleep because I'm running TF2 on my laptop, and because of the CPU usage, the fans on the underside of the laptop, and on the back end of it run like crazy. I'd love to use a map like that on my server, advertise it as "Low CPU usage" or something.

I could probably make a map like this that's low CPU usage. Would only take about 5 minutes or so. But I need more information.

A) Capture point in the air? What for?
B) "people would die when they joined a team and wouldnt respawn for the max (not part of map but you get the idea)" <- Explain further please. How would they die upon joining? Why didn't they respawn?

I think the capture point was just put there for the gamemode requirements or something cuz it could never get capped... also both teams would spawn in the same spot a little above the cp and die instantly (damaging area) and then theyd fall onto the capture point plate... and the long respawn time I think was just a server cvar like "mp_respawnwavetime 3600" which is once every hour and along with some sort of maxtimelimit 9999999 etc...

I wouldn't call it the worst map.

If it keeps your CPU levels low, that's a damn good map, especially for an idle map.

So yeah, upon investigating further, I figure I could potentially remake this map, although not an exact replica, but still, it would/should/could be a low CPU usage map.

Unfortunately, I'm gonna be leaving to go home for Christmas break in about an hour and a half.

I might work on something when I get home.
