I know this seems like a dumb question but someone told me the only dumb question is the one not asked so ill throw this out and hope you guys dont flame me for posting it.

I used the brush tool and created a square. I made sure it was nodraw texture when I created it.

My problem is I cannot pick just one side of it to texture, I read keeping all other sides nodraw will improve performance but I dont know what to do to select only one side.

I tried CTRL U and even tried clicking in various tools, could someone help please?

You need to not have the brush selected, then use the texture selection tool :)faceedittool:) and then use that to select one face.

It doesnt matter if you already have the brush selected, just go into texture tool and click on the face you want. You can also select multiple faces holding strg, just like with other objects in select mode.

Another useful key is mouse2, go into texture tool, choose a texture (or select a face with the texture you wish) and then right-click on all faces where you want that texture to be.

As already said, you have to be in the texture tool, it does not work in normal selection mode.

Additionally, you can select the entire brush, then go into the texture tool and deselect the faces you don't want (this is if your planning to texture a majority of the faces.)
