O hai.
My Steam account recently got hijacked. I blame stress and my curiosity.
It's the usual scamming process: A no-lifer hacks a account, sets a "botmode" that will automaticly begin to spam links to free games or big money. Phising.
Therefore creating a so-called BOTNET. With this the hacker intend to blackmail the owner of the community (VALVe).
And who was stupid enough to put his password in something like that?
You guessed it. Me.
But it was looking so Steamish that i couldnt let go. And i was on heavy pressure due to a spycheck monstrosity on CTF_Well.
I have reported it, and if you got this too, i suggest you report it to Steam Support right away.

Here's an example of the message:
The Hijacked: /me proud of giving you a free game at (link) x2

Why me?! WHY ME?! No more gaming on TF2 and mapping on Source SDK for me. :crying:

If you got information about this, post please.

And if you try to add me on Steam, DON'T DO IT UNTIL I POST THAT'S CLEAR.

You have no-one to blame except yourself. NEVER EVER give out your password.

You will usually get your account back in a few days, just hope the highjacker hasnt cheated, or deleted your hats or such.

My mistake. Too tired to make thread, but did it anyway. Oops.
Reminder to myself: Learn the differences between a spambot and a botnet.
Ok, still tired. Gonna sleep and edit this s**tpile tomorrow.
G'night.

Don't even trust official steam things. I don' even sign into the webpage format of steam-community for this reason.
