Bah, who knows. Maybe it just relates to playing with Steam Friends. :/ On a side note though, I just realized how long each of these are when compared to TF2's other lines (not just from the Administrator but also from the classes themselves.) I really don't think this has to do with a new game mode... I think this something that's going to effect every game.

Do I hear the Happy Holidays Update?

But hey, just remeber that Christmas is the time of giving, when friends meet up and share they're hard earned gifts.

I play on 32-man servers a lot, that's never been an issue before. :x

It's steam friends as of now. Was playing with a friend on a pl_goldrush server when we heard it. Right before the the game began: "Friendship Ends in 10 seconds." Pure gold. Nobody else heard it either. I've got a demo of it too... will upload once I find the right tick marks.

No, multiple people have witnessed these icons over on the Steam forums. I'm thinking they're legit.

Went back to check the demo and it wasn't there. o_O

So sufficed to say, it's gotta be a random thing at the moment. I guess we'll find out soon enough...

At the end it had one of the new sound clip BUT this demo was taken well before the update BUT transfered after the update.

Recheck the demo. Was it still there? I really think as of now it's random... or if it does have a deeper meaning it just isn't fully implemented yet. But it really makes no sense at how it would happen in-game and not in a demo... or visa versa.

It happens, according to one experiment, only if you're playing demoman or soldier, after a demoman and soldier have captured a point together and only if you have demoman and soldier on the same team. All of which were true during my match last night.

Demoman and soldier update next?

Also, somebody went poking around in the binaries, and have concluded that there's 10% chance of it being heard if you're playing demoman or soldier, no other requirements.
