Alright so I got a new monitor/TV yesterday and hooked it up to the comp its a great upgrade from the 1440 res because now i can go 1920x1080. Anyways, naturally I would have to fix my resolution for some games which is fine, except Ive run into a problem.
I booted up TF2 and some other games as well only to learn that when I turn its res to 1920, the screen gets this weird scrolling down effect/flickering effect. Ive looked for a solution as to why this happens but I couldn't really find much.
I then tried 1360x768 for the monitors native resolution out of game and then jumped back into to tf2. And for S**ts and Giggles I tried 1920x1080 again as the ingame resolution. Only this time the scrolling and flickering disappeared! I then tried some other games out that experienced the same problem and it was just like tf2, they were fine as long as the native resolution is set to 1360x768.
Now my problem is, how do I get the best of both worlds? While I could always change my res before jumping into TF2 id rather not have to deal with doing this every time. Does anyone have any idea/experience as to fix this so I can keep my 1920x1080 res on my desktop and ingame?
-Thanks
PS yes i have the latest drivers
