Specifically, jack-o-lanterns.
It occuurred to me, that we replicate human heads by carving in the equivalent of a face, then cutting open the equivalent of a scalp, pulling out the equivalent of brains with a spoon, and putting in a candle.

Taking out the equivalent of brains, to attempt to replicate a human head. Strangely enough though, halloween (and jack-o-lanterns) is generally more often done in america. The US.
'nuff said.

I see what you're getting at, but this it's rather silly to speculate that paranoid Americans should have to worry about jack-o-lanterns. After all, you carve it to make a scary face, not to simulate murder of a person.

Indeed, seen it in Happy Tree Friends.

Not to sound like a cynic or anything, but American holidays have long since stopped making sense.

Yea, but what really bugs me is when there's a (for example) thanksgiving event on a global game/server. I mean comeon, how come we have random thanksgiving events but you don't have random ANZAC day (for example) events?

I guess that the country the server is hosted in can have holidays from said country. I'm pretty sure an England server would have a Boxing Day event (forgive me if I confused a country here, foreign holidays aren't my strong suit).

I don't see how this is any worse than violent video games.

I think you're missing my point: you "make a person" by removing their brain.
Brains are for thinking. Removing pumpkin "brains" is most practiced in america.

They're not brains. Pumpkins are fruit.

Except that the reason that you yank the guts out of a pumpkin is to retard spoilage and allow space for a candle, not in order to improve the mimicry.
