Measuring Tool?

Is there some way you can measure distances in Hammer, aside from creating brushes and then selecting them or using the clip tool and pressing 'O'? It gets rather time consuming, hopefully there's a more efficient way...

Generally speaking I'll either use the select tool to create a bounding box, or increase the scale of the grid until I can look at the screen and estimate the dimensions. Occasionally if I'm doing something like a stairwell I'll create a 50x50x96 block and use that for figuring out clearance heights. If I just want to gauge eye level, I'll use one of A Boojum Snark's info_team_player engie icons.

Or you can use MATHEMATICS.

sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2+(z2-z1)^2)=DISTANCE :D
