Won't recognize CP, and crashes when I walk up to it

I've been confused by this one for awhile now, and cannot find discrepancy between the control point and others.

There are 5 CP's in the level (index 0-4), and only 4 register. The fourth one is the issue (control_point_4, capture_area_4, and index 3). It doesn't show that it is a capture point at all when I test the map, just an alone prop_dynamic. But if I walk up to it the game crashes. I've compared it again and again to the others and it seems the exact same so I thought I would see if anyone else could help with it.

Could be any number of things....

a bad I/O?

an error in a brush in that vis leaf or something weird like that? (could be coincidental)


a faulty cp_master? (you do have on right?)

maybe post screen shots of your CP's settings so we can scrutinize further.

I claim idiot of the week. I was wrong about which wasn't working, it was just an index set to 0 instead of 1 *slaps himself*
