Perfect realism TF2 textures, it's true, valve did it.

I was thinking they might be for that Ep2 log pile they accidentally included, then removed, then had to put back. Except that model is in props_forest

This is nice, though I'm not surprised. Isn't the log in sawmill a reject prop from the Half Life games? Either way though, I love that stump. Great detail.

TF props share several directories with HL2 props:

props_foliage
props_skybox
props_vehicles

But we all know Valve for not cleaning up its messes. So if they did swap out a model or material for what ever reason.. it usually ends up a nice little easter egg for us lot, as they often seem to just get left behind. *OMG WUT IS THIS* Like the old/original bomb cart model.

Yeah, I think they were planning to retexture them.

On a somewhat related note, they are known for using HL2 models in some of their maps, such as the C17 dividers in Badwater.

Yeah I saw them too...
What's interesting is that the name of the textures are in french... (well, somewhat, "fallen" is not). Strange.

Its a little stupid to suggest that because these materials are in the GCF valve have used perfect realism in tf2, because the materials are in the GCF and not used ingame... They are infact for those log piles that they added, took out, and added again. IE - never used in their own maps.

But you already knew that you just want to stir up trouble dont ye booj.
