first up put cubemaps in your map, my eyes hurt.
also a skybox would be nice
but to awnser your question

I'd stick a small shed on there. Would help block sightlines and stuff. If you have it enterable, that would also make a good hiding place, I think.
I have cubemaps; I've simply stopped building them until I release a new version of the map. And there is a skybox, it's just not visible in this area (due to the fact I want different lighting in there).
I was specifically referring to the dock.
