Whew, we can breathe a collective sigh of relief :p Our Third Annual Mapping Contest is finally over, and it was a doozy. Out of 30-something started, there are [ame=http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=10245]16 amazing submissions.[/ame] I actually feel sorry for our judges, lol. I made a lot of noob mistakes w/ my map, mostly b/c I did not fully plan it, and thus had considerable difficulty staying focused. Hardly seems to fair to drop my map and then fall back to being an official judge. So I will be reviewing the entries same as the rest of the community :) On that note, I am very interested in hearing about what all of you have learned or taken away, be it as a mapper or simply following the contest; [ame="http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=10374"]Things I learned from our Third Annual Contest - TF2Maps.net[/ame]

The maps will be in rotation for a couple weeks, and I will open the voting thread in a few days. We will be having official 'play the contest maps' events, but I encourage you to not wait. Lastly, it has come to my attention that I have neglected to bump a rather important aspect of TF2. Namely the servers, lol  We have a forum dedicated to the sole purpose of sharing about custom servers, so check it out; [ame="http://forums.tf2maps.net/forumdisplay.php?f=27"]Server Discussion - TF2Maps.net[/ame]

It's All-Hallows Eve, and I am gonna nerd it up tonight :D Following that, I'm planning on being sick to my stomach tomorrow, recovering just in time to catch post Halloween candy sales.

Well many typical nerds can be quite scary :)
