Remove Rain in koth_samill

I've recently began working on an xmas version of koth_sawmill (please dont take my idea :p ). I downloaded the decompiled version by VMEX. I've started adding some snow, but then i remembered that sawmill already has snow :facepalm:. I can't find where the rain is to delete it. I'm making snow by making a trigger and making it func_precipitation with snowfall. Does sawmill do it some different way that I can't find? I'd really appreciate help with this as soon as possible.

Nobody, nobody here is going to take your idea. We dislike these kinds of things.

That said, the rain is made with info_particle_systems you'll find high up in the map. Your snow you'll want to do the same just using a different particle. Look at Viaduct's info_particle_systems for the name. You can probably just leave the ones in sawmill there and change the particle name.

The rain on sawmill are particle effects as are the droplets of rain.

I think viaduct uses a particle system for snow as well, they look better then the func_percipitation.

On a side note, don't remake valve maps - dozens of profesional artists can make a map look better then you can - as such people will think your variant is cheap and/or cheesy, just like 2fort_night.

didnt plan on doing much, just adding snow piles, xmas trees and a snow effect. apparently this forums against that, sry didnt know :p either way im gunna do it, just wanted some help. I'll see if i can find it in the map. thanks guys

We don't like simply because we'd prefer to see you create an original work, something completely new.

Changing a made map is easy to do and without the mapmakers consent is cold man, cold.

I've made a few maps of my own and I just wanted to add an xmas flare to a good map. I'll give proper credit and if asked to take it down, I will. I actually tried contacting valve with no response.

alright so I got rid of the rain, I tried replacing the particle with the one used in viaduct but it ended up not taking up the same amount of area and I coulnd't get it to look natural, so I ended up just making a func_precipitation with snowfall around the entire map and then just cutting out the two spawn buildings and the center building with the cap point. My problem now though is that it still has the sounds of thunder and rain playing, with snow falling it's quite goofy. What am I looking for to delete in order to get rid of the sounds? i've deleted some env_soundscapes (i think thats what they are) but it didn't work totally. am i just missing more of them or is there something else?
