Yes, of course I have. I've tested many custom maps as a mapper, both for inspiration and for noticing general areas of failure, etc. I'm personally a huge fan of vilepickle's works 
About snofort, I like it, although i find it a bit too dark.
I think I'll post something about a small playtest soon, this is the 4th time I have started over with the layout - every time I wasn't happy enough with it. Now, I think i finally am
