noob alert, but i can't seems to find any info on this.
i want to use some custom models in my map, some track pieces from this very site no less, and i'm wondering how i add them, as i have no idea.

what file do i add them to, and when i release the map how do i include it. the model uses valve textures so i don't have to worry about that. so what do i do with zip file?

ty for any simple feedback

Just to reiterate what the halflifestorm link says, don't forget that when it comes time to distribute your map to others, you'll want to use PAKRAT to add the models to the bsp. Otherwise, they'll see the red "ERROR" model unless they've also happened to already have the model.
