Making the "Payload Home" and Cart icons custom

I, along with a friend, are making a payload map. The thing is, we really want it to fit the style of the teams. So, because RED is Reliable Excavation Demolition, we want to make a so called "reverse-payload". Now this works really good, except one thing:

In the picture it says "how to make it red", but now I just want it to look like a bunker (because it's where the map is located). I tried fidling around with settings, but it didn't work out. Any suggestions?

Also, how do I make the actual payload marker red? Sorry for these noobish questions :)

You can't. That stuff is hard coded.

The only option would be to put in a tf_logic_multiple_escort, which would give you the PLR hud, which supports red, and will only show one track if there is only one train set up.

But then you run into the possibility of further confusion.

I've seen a custom hud generator program somewhere out there, it should be able to give you custom icons and stuff. Aren't the icons somewhere in the gcf files? For a quick-fix, you could simply edit it, pakrat it, and it would only be different within your map.

No no no and no. You are never to override default content with embedded stuff of the same name. It stays cached and persists to every map after that until the client is closed.

That said, those things couldn't do it anyway. They just alter how the hud looks, not what it does.
