I'm wondering if anyone has done it yet for tf2, and what the name of the maps were.

Both were a CTF maps.

One of them was 2 bases seperated by a tract of land, there were 2 routes(I think) to get into opposing base, you could crossing the land, or you could go into a cave(it had train tracks) but you needed a demo man to blast a hole to get past, then you would run down unti lyou came out in a shower/locker room.

THe other is much harder to explain.

Basically the both sides had a bunker type structure, and a large tract of land between both bases, there were some caves that you could go through to avoid the open land... I dunno this one is a lot more vague for me, I think the flag was at the bottom or top? Or maybe there was a generator type thing on the bottom. You could get to the bottom a number of ways one of them was through a vent like system.

Push?

I'm making a map based on Push and I've seen one based on Crossover.

The first one you are talking about is Rock2. Except its water in the middle instead of land.
It has been remade by several mappers

Personally I'd leave remaking TFC maps. whilst i've not actually played many, out of the ones that I have, I've not played on one that really feels like a TF2 map, they generally don't fit TF2.

Crossover's a good example of that -- it's heavily biased toward soldiers, as they can drop down the hole, grab the intel, then RJ back out and it's very very hard to stop. Balancing the map for TF2 where only two classes can (insert explosive here)-jump would require changes to make the other classes more useful. It's not impossible, but I believe it needs more than a straight port.

Crossover was great. With a few modifications, it could also be a great TF2 map.

Avanti is one map that greatly decreased in playability once it was ported to TF2 - but again, with the proper tweaks, it's not impossible to port the old maps over into the new style. I'm doing that with Space Bowl next - and although my "Space Race" is basically a port of Space Bowl, the middle of the map and overall theme needed to be heavily redesigned to accommodate the new weapons and abilities introduced in TF2.

If there were two maps I'd love to see, not just copied, but "logically" ported to TF2 - they would most definitely be Rock2 and Crossover.

I think the second map you're talking about is Acropolis2?
