Consider 0.1a done now. Submitting to Gameday as of tomorrow. However, I'm leaving for vacation so I will not be able to work on it for 3 weeks, nor look at the gameday data for 3 weeks. :(

Version 1a is headed off to gameday on Saturday! I however will be gone for vacation and will be unable to attend. No worries, I've tasked Void with keeping my map from being abused by the bigger meaner maps, and I'll watch the demo and read everyone's input when I return.


Map is on hold until July 2nd or so!

Plays moderately well, though people can be killed before the round starts. We've had pre-round First Bloods.

Make doors or adjust the placement of spawns.

Locale of death areas was confusing, people didn't know how they died.

You can swim against the current, but not get out of it.

It's very hard and timeconsuming to get out of the water on the death side of the cap room. I suggest adding some ramps out there or slowing the water a little.

Also, the open door really need something to block it. Currently you can get First Blood before the match even starts.

Yeah, the major moan is the fact that First Blood can be achieved prior to the start of the match. I also think there needs to be more ways out of the water in general.

Overall, good stuff. I liked the use of game_text_tf.

Arena_Hydroelectric_a2 Released!

  • [*] Made the water faster so it equals an instant death! Don't fall in unless you plan on catching the capture point!
    [*] Added a new room to the side route across the water.
    [*] Func_NoBuilded the water so engineer's can't build underwater!
    [*] Added a cliff to the end of the water so the deaths are more apparent
    [*] Added spawnroom doors
    [*] Moved the center point further to the waterfall, helps break up LOS from the spawnrooms, doors or not!
