I really dislike that kind that if you accidently roll over it, it will expand all over your screen

I have AdBlock Plus and it doesn't let me block any of the site's ads. :/

Try an add-on called NoScript, it prevents scripts running unless you've verified the source of the script as okay, so you'd "allow" TF2maps.net, but not the sources of the ads.

we have tried to catch these ads with our ad network. and we have caught a few of the more annoying ones (autoplay anyone?).

slowly we will catch them all. but these types are very popular with advertisers, so new ones keep joining the network, and it takes a few weeks for us to catch them.

if you are using firefox, here is a very efficient block-addon: noscript
blocks away everything that isn´t main page, but it also might block somethinig you need, so you must go through the plugins options to allow certain parts of the page
