Worse is the fact that he claimed the latest iPod Shuffle is "the easiest to use MP3 player on the market", or words to that respect. Lolwrong.

Having being a Creative fan for years, I'll be more excited about the Android-enabled Zii Egg. Spotify, Last.fm and easy-to-install ScummVM on my MP3 player?

I'm of the belief that phones should be phones, cameras should be cameras, and gaming devices should be gaming devices.

To me, all phone games are throwaways. Good for when you're taking a shit. That's about it. I will never pay for one.

The DSLite is the only Nintendo device I've bought since the original Nintendo console and the first version of the Gameboy. I borrowed the Wii and hated it. The DS, however, is wonderful and stuff like "Scribblenauts" keeps it very relevant to the type of games i like to play "on-the-go".

PSP is a totally different animal and I would never take it to a place like the beach - with open ports and a highly scratchable screen - it has to be mollycoddled unlike the DS, but great to bring along to the office and on trips.

My phone? As long as it has good reception and I don't get ass raped for internet connectivity, I'm good. Apple needs to take the advice my mother gave me when I was learning one thing and wanted to go off track... "Don't dillute yourself."

I think the iPhone is way more than it should be, and because of being so, is priced outside of a range that is accessible to the average consumer. I will be impressed when they offer a $75 iPhone with $50/month unlimited everything. Until then, I'll stick to my overrated G1 and $25 Nokia... which is better than the iPhone and G1 combined considering it's cheap as fuck, has excellent features, and is so well made it feels like it can stop a bullet and has survived many hard tosses against the wall and kept ticking.

Whats a "gaming" laptop?

Basically, a gaming laptop is a laptop that uses custom versions of CPUs/GPUs/etc that normal Desktops use that are good for games. I've seen laptops with custom Nvidia Geforce Cards (such as the 9200M) and custom ATI cards (can't remember which) and even some custom AMD processors. They usually are somewhat more expensive, but run games way better than other work/school laptops.

I laughed at iPod.

Most. Overrated. Piece. Of. Junk. Ever.

I could not agree more. Together with iTunes, which is one of the worst pieces of music software in existence, the iPod is terrible.

I cannot comprehend why it is that so many fanboys and girls use the awful standard earphones despite the appalling quality they offer, all because they want to show off that they have an iPod. Yes the iPod is a decent music player, i'd even call it good (despite the software) but its not the best ever and if you want to truly get the best out of it, you need some decent earphones for it!

Welcome to the world of fashion.
I couldn't agree more, like a lot of apple's products, it's largely hype, clever marketing, and the 'anti-trend' crown, who have instantly make assumptions and presemptions about each group. Think about it. You're an impressionable adolescant. You know nothing of handheld gaming. Suddenly apple tells you, in the form of a trendy ad, that the newest over-priced product of theirs is totally worth the money. You don't pay for it, so you immediately demand it. Same with baby's first computer. "oh look, macs are better for movie editing and cool stuff". No. Free applications for windows have out-ranked almost every mac-based app, which are all an extra $1-200 for no adequately explained reason other than supply and demand, better known as Steve Jobbs looking at an island and saying "I want that".

Not to turn this into a PC vs Mac debate but it kinda reminds me of This.

Apple talk a lot of crap. I've never baught an ipod and never intend do.

I've wanted to support Apple's development within the market but it just oozes pretentiousness.

A lot of my friends have Macintosh laptops now, mostly because it was an "in thing". Now they try to convince themselves it was worth the money to use a system that has limited support for the very products they make such a fuss over, such as movies, games, and particularly music.

Most of my friends are currently waiting for a third party open source media player to be released. I know several sound engineers who wouldn't think twice about giving Steve Jobs a kick up the back side. Especially how it is marketed towards designers.
