This map is based of the map photofinish

Photofinish was never intended to be a fool-around map, however, some people thought it should be, so I made this.

Photofinish will be a serious map (balanced etc)
Killer carts will be a fun map (Random stuff etc)

Differences with Photofinish.

slightly different look, brighter.

ability to stand on the cart. technicly possible, but hard due to the speed of the carts

Music (tf2 startup music): yeah, this one is pretty awesome

super-special-colored boxes, stand in them and something will happen. (there in the spawn rooms)

green box: your gravity will be set to 1/4 of normal gravity (very fun as a soldier)
red box: gives you regular gravity (to revert the green box)
blu box: teleports you to the top of the level, allowing you to attack people from above. (great ambush)
brown box: teleports you to the skybox, allowing you to confuse the heck out of people.

toys, you can jugle around
destructable environment

a killer intel, wich when dropped kills everybody in its range

auto taunt, when capping


future ideas (comment so I can enlarge this list)
- faster carts (they dont follow the track nicely when I make them faster, wich is solvable, but takes time)
-more easter eggs.

Nice idea to make a fun version and serious. If you have the carts really fast, you should put the health and ammo packs on the tracks. I think with the teleports, it could end up as most battles either in the skybox, or everyone just uses the blue box.

You could maybe add more carts on the tracks? Make more path_tracks so they go different routes each lap? Like they crossover every other lap or something.

Anyway I look forward to playing it with large groups of people, trouble is getting those large groups of people on the server. Nice job so far though.

how about a room that when you walk in, parents a sentry to you or a room that makes you invisible?

I never thought of that.
I could make it so these teleporters can only be used each 30 seconds or so.

I will make more carts :D
I'm not going to do a crossover.

Anyway I look forward to playing it with large groups of people, trouble is getting those large groups of people on the server. Nice job so far though.

Yes, great idea making 2 versions.

Do the gravity modifiers only affect the player or the whole team?
It should only affect the player, however, I havent tested this yet.
it's a simple trigger_gravity brush

Trigger_gravity will only affect whoever touches it and will set their gravity to whatever is specified in the entity info. The gravity will not revert back to default until another trigger_gravity with that setting is entered, or the player dies.

I sure hope I'm right with that otherwise I'll look a real *Insert word that you think best applies here*

Making the teleporters only used once every 30 seconds or so is a good idea. It may need altering or such but that can be changed later obviously. I look forward to having several engies camping the skybox rather than the point xD

updated to B2

-increased train count from 2 to 4
-added toys to play with (balls and small cubes)
-addded a evil intelligence briefcase under the bridge (kills everything in its range when dropped)
-added a 30 second delay to using the teleporters
-when capping the point, you will start taunting
-added sentries under the brigde, but wont fire you because dispenser are blocking their sight.
-some optimization
-fixed some props not being visible in dx8

please say the intel's range is the whole map..

I've been quite busy lately, but to show this map is still alive, I released a new version
now download this map and make a 24/7 server for this map (please)
