how to Block a sentrys view

what kind of brush can i place so that a sentry will not see you if you stand behind it. its okay if it blocks players. currently sentrys can see through chainlink fences and you can stand on the other side to run down the sentrys ammo. can i just use a nodraw brush?

that would be a bad idea - nodraw casts shadows
I'm fairly sure texturing it with Block LOS would work

Ask Spike. He had to block sentry LOS in his island map.

a normal clip texture. Clipping is exactly as a normal wall except its not visible ingame and doesnt cast shadows.

Player clip only clips the player and buildings and still allows anything to be fired through it.

Also, why dont you just check goldrush stage 1. at one of the large healthpacks there is a fence which also blocks everything.

He doesn't want anything to be fired through it. As it is, it seems the bullets can't go through anyway. But the sentry sees people and shoots at them, wasting its ammo, as it cannot kill them. Also, playerclip doesn't clip buildings, nobuild does.

Cameron's idea sounds like it should work.

Thats why i suggested the normal clip and not the player clip. I told the difference to make it a bit more clear what both do.

Otherwise you can try the invisible tool texture. should be allmost the same.
