I think I may have over voted a tad, but if "Other" becomes popular what would that "Other" be? Please don't say Egypt. We can do better than that.

Swamp, is a bad idea considering, that Valve does not support it on their update server thingy. Which means basicly, If we were to use Swamp, it will be a big ass download file, considering pakrat and the fact that we are doing TC.

It would be best to use a theme that EVERYONE has, not one that is just a community map pack. The swamp pack is really great, but I feel that this isn't the mode to use it on.

Thats my opinion anyways. Im going with Alpine, Id rather avoid another Hydro Theme.

I like Alpne (Sawmill, lumberyard, etc), I just like the feel of it.

Spytech isn't a valid theme. It belongs in all maps.

As I said earlier, swamp is probably the best choice in terms of getting it done and getting it looking good (dark lighting generally looks better, and all the mappers are warmed up from the detailing contest. Additionally, there are quite a few people who will jump to the task of making custom swamp content, as seen in another thread), but if you want to keep the file size down (not to mention that a reeeeaaally big swamp doesn't really work), alpine is probably the best.

Voted for swamp/alpine + snow, because swamp needs more rep, and snow is cool and is the mapping fad ATM

As I said in the other chat; I wouldn't mind signing up, but you should get out an official list of people in the project.

I don't know about Swamp, I didn't vote for it just because there was previously a HUGE contest all about the swamp, I don't have it, and I'm not interested in it. I voted the normal things, Desert and Alpine, because there's already a huge amount of variety within both that there should be a good amount of differences between stages.

I imagine trying to make a TC map out of Swamp stuff, and I don't imagine a whole lot of variety tbh, at least not enough to separate each stage from the next.

Alpine, while not my favorite theme, at least can blend into snow+alpine, which adds some more variety. I have a feeling alpine will win out, it seems to be a very popular theme.

Edit: Also, night time can be applied to any theme, so night time lighting isn't a big deal at all.

It should be a mix between snow and spytech!

I voted for 2, but i think swamp should win. Face it people are going to make swamp maps eventually its just like the alpine stuff you gotta download it. If it turns out to be an epic map i dont think people will mind.


P.S. Its not like the whole damn swamp pack will be used
