I recommend this method of clipping and shearing if you want to make brush-based cliffs. This is how people tend to do it in Goldsrc (or they vertex edit it to death), and it's a lot more merciful on the engine if used sparingly.

BTW he's got a good taste on music. First song artist is Nujabes from Ristorante album, last song of side A. Not many people knows this kickass composer
