  • Something to add to my mapping to-do list; Attempt a "Battle Royal"-style Area map. I'm considering a smoggy cityscape setting.
    I want to map so bad, but Uni is kicking my ass and I can't find the time. A break is coming up soon, so with luck I'll find some time then.
    Haven't touched Frequency in a while, since college has been hectic. Might change the name and the theme when I start working on it again.
    I want to make a Halloween-themed map that can be played year-round, and make it's event version a city because capitalism is scary.
    Working on a Frequency update. Its drifting a little close to another iibo-adopted map, so I'll make some differential changes come a4.
    Looking for ideas for the 72hr Jam, I came across UltimentM's Turf War prefab from a few years ago. With some tweaking, I think I'll use it!
    Concept: A symmetrical map, but instead of being symmetrical down the middle it's symmetrical through spawns.

    Not at all. Sure, they'd both be symmetrical, but in entirely different ways. It's like the difference of mirroring an image horizontally and vertically.
    Finally got a new computer, and a really nice video card to boot! Finally, I can play TF2 with good graphics!

    According to the page that I bought it from, it has a 9th Gen Intel i5 processor, 12GB 2666MHz RAM, and a Radeon RX 550 video card. If you need to know any other specifics, just say.

    I really want to remake an old map for the 72hr Jam, but then again, I kinda want to try a Bumper Cart map.

    It's simple, really. A lot of the changes you made help the map flow, such as the computer room access and the platforms between sniper perches. Others impede it, like the outside access or the supports holding up the new platforms. I suggest you "trace" over your map with devbrushes and submit it for regular playtest. Straight "Valve Edits" don't usually get much attention, but ground-up reworks do.
    Went to an old thread to find a custom model I frequently use (I'm getting a new computer) and was reminded of "koth_scientology".

    Why did I think that was a good map name?
    Since the Showcase was updated almost a year ago (with the last update gap being three years long), could we see some new maps added?
