    http://archive.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=1235 Heres some textures I made for my map ctf_powerhouse. Some of them are derived from HL2 city textures. I also added a yellow gradient for light beams etc (use with a func_illusionary set to additive).

    Using custom graphics with sprites

    I am using Hammer/TF2 to make a sequence for a music video where I want to place a character as a 2d object that rotates with player orientation. When I use env_sprite, the custom graphic shows up correctly but is transparent, I have it set to Additive and Amount to 255. Do sprites always...

    Ugh great, any way of tracking what causes map crashes? Also, how did you make it crash? I load the map from the console.

    I will change the lighting setting for outside, the water thing is an issue where the map meets the skybox water. I may add another building into the C/water area if its an issue. As for the crashing, Ill check if there is any stray entities but there shouldn't be.

    Yeah Ill be adding some detail in the next release. Yes it was. Ive added a fair amount of vis blockers and it played well in the TC version.

    Cool, thanks guys, Im gonna try XSI until I get a student approval for 3DS Max. Does anyone have a simple model I can play around with for XSI?

    Where should I begin? I know Valve use Softimage but should I use 3DS Max instead? Also any beginner guides particulary to modeling for TF2 would be great.
