dont add lights, this will put it at fullbright, if ya dont i suppose it could be done by adding alot of lights...

- compile map
- Create server and run ur map
- open the console and type: buildcubemaps...
another cause might be that overlays go over partial brushes (cut in half horizontically/verticaly) or sometimes because they are overlapping
