A rather serious problem

Earlier today, I seem to have got a problem with hammer. I added a few props and displacements earlier, and I compiled to see if there was any problems. However, when it finished, all the things I added for some reason weren't there. I checked back on hammer and it was all there. I tried recompiling, saving, adding all the things again, but to no avail. Am I missing something?

Is this the first compile you have made of this map?

It sounds like you made the mistake of converting brushes to displacements (which don't block vis) and formed a leak, and as a result the compile is failing, but loading up the older version of the map. Although we cannot be sure as your explination is fairly ambiguous.

Could you try and get a screenshot in hammer, if you cannot get one ingame?

Ok, I decided to scrap that map, I had only done middle point, so it didn't matter too much. I tried the compile log checker but apparently no errors

I started a new map. Guess what. Another serious problem!.

This time, every time I try to test the map, it starts compiling, starts tf2 up, then just stays at the main menu. The compile log checker still says that there are no errors. I vaguely remember having this problem before, but I don't remember how I fixed it. There are no leaks in the map as far as I can tell. Any ideas?
