The Asylum
Now that PLR is an official game type, I thought I'd try my hand at it... with a "port" of Mute City I from the classic F-Zero
Screens attached show what I have now: skeleton of the track and placeholder brushwork for the BLU Falcon and RED Stingray, until I can get or create 3D models of them. Of course there's going to be obstacles and shit around the track so it's not just a totally flat open plane, it's just the payload track that's going to be flat.
Don't worry, I'm doing my best to try and make this not wind up like Wacky Races. The idea I have right now is, unlike wacky races, which relies on attacking the other vehicle, is to use the traditional PL system (Which, also unlike wacky races' setup, works) . Get on top of the F-Zero machine or into the cockpit to get it moving. Getting into the cockpit provides the dispenser health/ammo. Also unlike wacky races, the "driver", if you will, is always exposed to danger.
Now, if only there were a quick way to learn how to model....
