[WIP] pl_saguaro

pl_saguaro is a 1 stage pl map, like badwater. The map isn't based on a place, but it's a kind of village in the desert. A Saguaro is a type of a cactus.

This is my first real map, so all tips are welcome. :)

History

pl_saguaro_a2b

- Added more health and ammopacks
- Fixed some playerclip bugs
- Added a new gate at blu's first spawn
- Changed some spawn bugs at the blu forward spawn
- Added 'nobuilds' in spawnrooms

I though it was better to first make the whole layout and after that to add some displacements . :) Also I ruined my map when I tried this -.-

You ruined your map by doing the layout? Or because of the displacements? I didnt do anything wrong. Everything was working fine. >_>

No no, you made some nice displacements, but when I continued it, everything was ruined, because I tried to made displacements to. :p

I'm going to fix that after I made whole the layout, then I'm going to fix some bugs, etc.

This would be a really cool map if the theme turned out to be sort-of "Southwestern", with the square buildings and whatnot you've got there turning into Pueblo Indian-style deals, with the adobe mud-hut feel. Add some cacti and you're all set!

Looks interesting, very simple looking layout with enough depth to keep people from getting bored. What theme are you using for it? And just a happy reminder to turn off shadows on the tracks :)

Western theme :)

And i'll turn the shadows of the track off :D

Nice! I played on it today on GRIM's server (you were there) and I loved it. I think the BLU team should have more cover at spawn, maybe the high exit goes into a building and to the left (where it can join the building to the left).

Yea, I should totaly change the blu spawn, it's too easy to camp.. :(

But I'm happy you love my map :wow:

You should change the Red spawn that turns Blu during the game. We got slaughtered in there for a few minutes.
I like the overall layout and the gameplay was pretty fun.
