Hi, I'm Friday but you can call me Friday. I'm new to tf2 mapping and was wondering if there were any better tutorials out there instead of UEAKCrashes, which personally I found difficult to comprehend. I wanted to do mapping because I see community made maps like abandoned_upward that just amaze me, which all the wonderful easter-eggs and detail put into it. Any help is appreciated please, I already ABS' resource pack so that's one thing down.

welcome to mapping! hope you enjoy long restless nights of thinking about maps LOL

better tutorials out there instead of UEAKCrashes
on youtube? for hammer in general no. for tf2. again no.
crash's tutorials are set out to be easy to follow.
although there's probably a tutorial somewhere here on the site.

but still: Welcome to TF2 mapping! hope you have fun and can't wait to play your maps

Hello, I met you on /r/TF2's Discord earlier today.

TF2Maps is a great community which focuses on map and content creation for, well, TF2.
3kliksphilip is a great mapper who makes tutorials. Although his work is centered around Counter Strike, his tutorials do translate to TF2.
You will also see several helpful guides on this site to further learn from.

Welcome to TF2M, and enjoy your stay.
(remember to turn on autosaving also in General>Autosave)

I used this guy's tutorial series and I found it very good:

The by far most in-depth and well explained tutorials about Hammer are by TopHatWaffle. Here is his website: http://www.tophattwaffle.com/tutorials/ Well explains and covers everything about hammer. It's not specifly for tf2 but it's still source so it can be applied anyway.

If you want more simple easy to follow tutorials but partly lacking a bit in informations, try 3klickspillip's tuts, they are very easy to follow.

EDIT: I'd like you to explain that disagree.
