subway - A freight like capture the flag map with trains and a cliff

A work in progress map that involves many trains, a water fall, a nice cliff to fall off of, and more! As an alpha 1 this map includes extra features like bad skyboxing, a rectangular water fall, dev textures and mismatched props!

Hello! I ran around your map a little bit. Here's some things:
First off, your map doesn't have a gamemode prefix, you can add ctf_ to the beginning of your vmf to fix this.

These trains are a bit of a pain. They move really slow and are really long. Players also can't walk in the opposite direction on the empty cars.

Seems like you used the incorrect skin for these crates, you can change that in their menu (Skin, change to 1(?))

You could probably go with changing these lights from light to light_point, and don't forget to disable the shadows on these!

This observer point isn't good. Move it inside, try above the waterfall? Also, you want your observer points to be the same perspective for both teams.

There's no gates/playerclips on the train entrances, so players can walk in and die.

How about riverway for a name?

questions/problems
1 some of those crates only have a red skin (fixed the rest)
2 respawn visualizers appear white in hammer (render properly), this makes texture scaling hard, solutions?

  • Better trains (smaller, faster)
  • more health/ammo kits
  • new train boarding platform
  • better spawnroom visualizers
  • a bit more clipping
  • improved sightline
  • fixed some crate skins (the others have only a red skin)
  • and other stuff I forgot

There's option "Fit" that stretches texture right on the size of brush. Amazing for respawnroomvisualisers.
