I think this has been asked several times, but is it possible to have a dynamic light_environment? If so, I guess that making a map go from night time to morning is going to make the file skyrocket in size. Then I'd need to know how to change the skybox but I think I can solve that by just making a func_brush with the sky textures in the 3d skybox or something like that.
I have an idea in mind based on this and I'd like to know if I can make it work.

you can add a name parameter to the light_env if you turn off smart edit, allowing you to enable and disable the light. Remember though that doing this adds a second set of light maps to every surface in the map that can receive them, bloating the file size enormously, so i really don't recommend it

Kind of, but it also explains whys, why nots, and what to do instead. spoiler alert: what to do instead is leave this idea alone

I have to say that as I already knew that this will make lots of problems I don't plan to make a playable map out of this. Nonetheless, I'm aware of the insanity of this and decided to try it anyways. May god have mercy on my soul
