Why only balance Pyro OR Heavy? Both classes need a rework.

Right, but this lets the community directly say which they want a rework for more. Or at least, which they'd like new toys for more.

And as the comic says, they can only do one class at once. (or they should only do one class at once, making an entire new weapon set is a MASSIVE deal for balancing. (Coincidently Blizzard said after releasing a bunch of heroes at once that it was a mistake and they want to do it one at a time from now on)

Pluuuussss this gives the community that valued "think up cool new items for both classes" time. The community will think up a ton of ideas for both classes (and others I'm sure) and Valve will pick what they like from that. Doing it this way allows them to add a huge amount of brainstorming power to their design team

Still hoping for some much needed performance improvements in the changelog, as well as the ton of bug fixes. Matchmaking and balance changes are nice and all, it's not nice when you can't run the game properly to enjoy them.

Also hoping that we won't have to wait like 6 months again for these balance changes. Preferable the winner of the war in September and the loser with Smissmass.

Minmode viewmodels look interesting. Like a middle ground between cl_first_person_uses_world_model (or viewmodels off) and stock. The CS series has a number of cvars to very finely control viewmodel positioning, this sounds like a single cvar though. Could be neat.
