PLEASE PLEASE USE THIS
Interlopers compile log checker

Copy and paste your compile log, whenever you have a problem, into there and if there is an error in the compile log it will pick it up and tell you.

Please do not make a post saying "I have a problem, here is my compile log...." until after you have run it through interlopers.

When I see such threads, all I do is copy the posted log into interlopers and comment on the errors it finds, then the person in need says "Thanks loads that worked".... You could have saved everyone energy by doing that yourself!

Anyway, yeah, its handy

Give your ISP an angry phonecall

Yes, I allready try it, but but they suck :( Nobody wants to help me.....

I try Internet Explorer, but the same :(

What browser do you use?
Maybe I send you a PM with the compile log and you check it?^^

Awesome thing, helped me understand that I had a leak. (The compiler explains it pretty weird...)

But shouldn't this be in mapping discussion and not tutorials?

Now if only I could figure out how to contribute an error message to that checker. I've got a fun one here:
SteamStartup() failed: SteamStartup(0xf,0x05CFE83C) failed with error 1: failed to take master pipe connection lock
It's just the steam process ceasing to accept process launches, just close all steam using processes and restart steam to fix this one.

I'm going to have to dig this out of the very deep parts of the forum, but there needs to be a way for this forum to detect whenever a compile log is posted, and then either ask the poster to run it trough Interlopers themselves first (and after that give them the option to post it anyway if that didn't help) and/or have a build-in compile log checker. I've already seen 3 cases today where I just ran a posted compile log trough Interlopers which came up with a fix that the original poster also could've done.

It's 2016. Surely we can figure something out with this, right? It saves everybody a lot of time, with poster having to wait for responses from us and us having to do the checking with Interlopers anyway and then writing a response.

I'll look into it at some point.

Sorry for the bump. But As Geit has stepped down this isn't being worked on.

Did Geit himself say that it isn't being worked on anymore? Just because Geit stepped down from staff doesn't necessarily mean he completely stops working on features to the site. In the future, yes. But it's safe to say no for now.

(Then again it's up to Geit.)
