'Sup. I'm working on my first map right now, and it's almost ready so I figured I'd register. All I need now is to add ammo and health pickups and some signs and I'm ready to release my a1, so look out for it! Oh yeah, and I still need to choose a name for it, I suck at naming things...

Welcome! Making maps is a great hobby, and good for socialising with interesting people around the world. Be sure to jump into the steam chat at any time. Before releasing your map be sure to check it has all the basics a map needs. Spawns, spawnroom triggers, door blockers and such for a much easier time. Also, be ready to take constructive feedback. Mapping is always easier when you can take feedback on board easily.

Hi! I also have a lot of trouble coming up with map names. When I first joined I used people names for all my maps. I also had a map called Pillowcase for the longest time.

Anyway, a while back I made an Excel sheet that mashed words together to form names, you can take a look at it if you want, or just name your map after a delicious food item

Some of those actually sound pretty cool, I might use that someday. I already named my first map "pl_docks", but I guess renaming wouldn't be unheard of.
