When i try to use hammer with the source sdk it's always have missing textures and crashes when I make or open a map with a ressuply locker. Why is that? Well im using the hammer from TF2's bin folder, but i see a lot of people use the source sdk so i wanted use it aswell.

For TF2, launch Hammer through the hammer.exe application in your <installlocation>\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin folder. When it launches, hit Team Fortress 2 because Half Life 2 will just close it (missing a file).

The Source SDK used to be used to launch Hammer but as of 2013 it was deprecated due to the Steampipe distribution system that Valve introduced.

Some mappers just run the Source SDK executable to track their hours in-editor. Using Source SDK is outdated and the only method which works is to open Hammer from the /bin/ folder.
