This isn't a question on how to get people in the TF2 community to play my map but rather how I can get some help testing it. I would like to try it out with my friends as well but whenever I setup a server they tell me that the server is not responding. Can I get some help?

When you create a server from the main menu, you get a listen server, which is restricted to your LAN by default. In order for your friends to play there, you would have to port forward it - use Google to find a tutorial for your router.

If you don't want to or can't port forward, we offer map testing here, which you can read about in this thread.

Yes that helped. TY

just to follow up, be careful how you set up your map for testing. just don't post anything without the basics: A binding space, no leaks, spawn points for each team, and also an objective. you don't need all of the above, but it helps players give more substantial feedback when going back and editing your map further with the critique.

Also, lighting.

Also, lighting.

that's a default given. from all the advice developers give is that lighting is the first thing you got to work out
