What exactly happens? Is it still running in the background? Did you try googling it?

So you try to login and it fails? Or nothing happens when you even try and launch the login app? Maybe the shortcut you're launching it from isn't accurate.

Dude you really have to give us more information if you expect anyone to be able to help you. Sometimes my steam doesn't look like it's doing anything if it opens when there's game updates.

It is in fact, open, just not responded. I open task manager, force quit the steam.exe and relaunch and it works fine.

Did you try uninstalling it and reinstalling?

Make sure you backup your steamapps folder before you do that, though.
Or just delete everything in the Steam folder except steam.exe and /steamapps/ and then launch steam.exe; it'll redownload the actual client.

It worked! Thanks for that.

Tried again. Not working. Not showing on task manager. Not showing anywhere.

1) I thought this was mapping discussion

2) Are you sure you tried all the solutions out there. I could lmgtfy to like 20 pages of troubleshooting.

3) What have you done? Did you restart after you re-installed? Try to reported the problem again after re-installing then come back :3

Well, discovered why it wasn't working. Back in June, when I moved the Steam files from C disk to D disk, I forgot one little archive. So I desinstaled that archive, and it worked.

Also, Pvtfish, Mapping Discussion is a place to ask anything, as long it has something to do with mapping. In my case, I wouldn't be able to map if I didn't fixed that problem.

mapping discussion also involves technical errors that hammer steam stuff gives you since if you can't luanch steam / hammer of they crash whatever = you can't map :p
