Visible 3D Skybox

Hey guys!
I'm pretty close to finish my Hamburger Hill map, but there is still a small problem.
As the headline already says, you can see the 3D-Skybox ingame...
I did not used 3D-Skyboxes often, but when I did, that never happened to me... :mellow:

Did you put the 3dskybox inside the same sealed area as the playable area?

There is a long history of stuff being visible through the sky, dating at least as far back as HL1. I suggest putting it below the game-play area, instead of above it. Then the ground/floor will block it from view. Another idea would be to put it waaaay above or below, so it will be too far away to see.

This is caused because VVIS is leaking into his 3d skybox area and making it part of a visgroup accessible from within the level. Therefore, the game thinks the player is actually in the sky, and so it's rendering it for them to see. Leaks will do this.

Sorry, but I'm just not used with this from the german forums :p
However:
No, the 3D Skybox is NOT inside the playable area.
No, during the last compile I did not noticed any leaks.
BUT, up to now I only compiled the map for testing, means without VVIS and VRAD.
Will try it the next time with them, thanks for all the answers!

also, did you check that the sky_camera is in the exact 'zero' origin as the actually gameplay space. moving it 1 unit moves it 16 units in reality. you got to make sure before you make the 3d skybox to put a sky_camera at 0,0,0 and then shrink it down. I find it handy to save a copy of the map without the 3d skybox shrunk down so you can add/remove without question.
