It's probably clear to you by now that we've been doing quite a bit of research about the desert. And why? We're going to write a book about the desert. The great American desert book. We honestly can't believe nobody’s thought of this before. We are going to be billionaires.

Anyway, since you're probably already camped out at a bookstore waiting for our desert book to come out, why not take over one of the computers at the information kiosk and enjoy TimbukTuesday?

So, two demoknight weapons that are straight buffs of their current equivalents? I don't get it.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm very disappointed there isn't an Egypt/Arabia themed map to go with this set. The header image had me all excited.

Bazaar bargain : pure upgrade over sniper rifle if I interpret the stats correctly.

Arabian demoknight : You could have the most OP stats in the world and 100% fire resist, and it still wouldn't beat the pyro in melee because right clicking is all the pyro needs to do to screw you over completely. Why keep trying Valve ?

Also I love how all of the demoman's weapons only have blue text..... :D

Ok, on the bright side, I think I like the new kukri, and I find the new targe less infuriating than the original.
Also the boots create a new demoman style that uses the sticy launcher only and has soldier health. Good or just bad ? Time will tell...

The new targe has half the damage resistances of the original. The new sword can hardly be used with a grenade launcher because you can't replenish ammo.

I was so happy with how this was going.

Then we get more Demoknight items and everything is ruined (Edit: Oh wow, they're actually using the term Demoknight now. And they still don't see what's wrong). What kind of people over at Valve think that people actually want every Demoman player to charge in a line and receive one-hit kills, rather than to make stuff explode? It made me angry and sad at first but in the end I'm just confused. What's going on in their heads?

Oh, and let's not forget how they've once again made items to a theme that makes no sense. It's 1960s America for crying out loud! A mafia theme makes perfect sense. Old Arabian outfits and weapons don't!

Or if you'd prefer to skip my bitching and moaning and get to the point; All I really want to know is what they put in the water of those who are responsible for the game's art direction.

At least these weapons aren't all stat tweaks like yesterday's. Not that I like Demoknights yet :(

Sniper rifle starts with a -20 charge rate compared to the regular. Each headshot brings it up 10 more, body shot reduces it by 10, miss back down to -20. Max of +30.

Source? I'm sure they would state that...

Looking at the model of it; it seems to have a flimsy scope, so I reckon the zoom won't be as high (if any)...

Not liking how the new sniper kukri is basically a retooled Equalizer. The new sniper would finally get me to use something other than teh stock one.

The demoknight stuff, I am okay with. I am assuming the shoes take the place of the grenade launcher, in which case makes the demo more powerful in close range without a long range weapon. And he really needed a new shield thing.

better than day 1's boringness. sniper rifle sounds somewhat interesting, stats say it's OP, sure they are missing a stat or something. sniper's melee = zzzz.
splendid screen looks pretty UP, persuader OP. ali baba hmmm we'll see.

Those Scout items are the best so far, at least as far I can tell just looking at the stats. I've been aching for a new pistol that shoots something other than spitwads, and a permanent triple jump ability at the expense of useless melee utility makes no difference to me because I just shoot people when I get close enough for melee as Scout anyway. Speaking of which, the new scattergun is basically a Force-a-Nature with testicles.

bat might be okay, the winger looks like pure garbage, and i think it's silly you can get minicrits just by running.

Really? Two shots per load + faster firing speed sounds more like the Force-a-Nature to me. So, that but with a Buff Banner-like effect instead of knockback.

I'm curious what the "third jump deals 10 damage" means. It's blue, so it can't mean self-damage, but then what could it mean? Goomba stomp?
