The hat shop also adds a very nice side route to help people escape sniper fire while trying to get to the courtyard.

Hey guys. I am still working on the map, you will just have to trust me on that. I am almost done with detailing. I know its not much be here is one of the props I have been working on just to show the map is still alive.

The prop is around 800 polygons with a normal map (If it wasn't obvious.)

I have second version that is a long one instead of wide but i will post more once more is done in the map.

Why do people assume map is dead if there is no posts on the thread for a month or two?
Detailing is not the fastest thing in the world you know.

I'm not a big fan of those noose(s?). This is the part where I plug my own noose that I've made for Schwa for a map which I'm pretty sure is dead :3

Yeah I totally agree with you and your noose is kick ass! Don't take it as a insult but I dont want to use your noose model. This map has been more of an exercise of my modeling/texturing ability. I have felt i have grown better from this project more than any other project i have done.

I plan on remaking any assets that i find low quality (most of the first ones I made as in the light post and noose along with others).

That being said i have been criticized for my props not fitting well along side Valves ones. So i took the time to add a bit more detail to some models textures where i thought they where lacking.

I hope these new textures give the map a much more professional feel. I also plan on redoing some of the maps texturing and elements as well.

I agree with TPG, those models look way better than what you had before. Glad to see you're getting the hang of TF2's art style :D

Hey I really like what you've done, all the added assets look pretty nice. I'm excited to play it.

When I look at the screenshots though, I feel like your lighting is really flat. I don't know if it's the quality of your screenshots or your graphics settings, or if it's just the lighting in the map, but I feel like you could get so much more mileage out of your visuals if you beefed up the lights. Let me show you what I mean, with a simple mock-up I made:

And not just with lamps, but overall in the screenshots it just feels pretty flat.

Yea, there's no contrast in the light volume. A map is bad if it's too dark but it's like you've eleminated every single shadow that could possibly exist. Either you've gone to far in eliminating darkness or you're using light's instead of light_spot's resulting in an overly uniform ambience.

EDIT: Also, break up this hidious wall: Perhaps with some bulkheads.

Rexy, I see what you mean! the mock up looks far better then i would have imagined. I assume what you are saying is to use sprites on my lights to give them that glow right?

Grazr, I will get right on breaking up that wall and I will see what i can do about that lighting. To be honest i was trying to copy Valves light values on the lights used in Degroot while varying the brightness slightly.
