Trouble with Hammer editor

Hey, I'm finding it hard to, well, FIND tf2's "game data files"
The "fgd" one. I can' find any info about where to find it either.
Without it, I'm stuck and can't do or make anything!

Help?

I had this problem for a week. Verifying the SDK's data fixed this problem for me. Also, someone needs to re-write the VDC, it has no useful info for any one trying to problem solve. Every problem links to the same page, with the same exact answer "un-install the SDK", which didn't fix this problem.

Y'see, I didn't know how to instally hammer so I downloaded it off the internet. But then I found out it didn't include this "SKD" so I finally found a page telling my how to install the whole pack off Steam. >.>

Going to try it out now, I'll let you know if it works! ;D
