Making a curved slope?

Gentlemen.

I would like some advice on how to make a curved slope, or rather a road which is both arched around a corner and going downwards at the same time. Like a spiral, I guess, or something akin to the big car tunnel in Hydro.

I've been trying this for a couple of hours now, with no hint of success so far. I have got a feeling it has something to do with displacements, but I just can't figure it out.

Tried searching, but nothing related came up.

At this point, any help at all would be appreciated.

There are 2 ways.
Make a curve out of brushes, cut them up into triangles and vertex edit them into a slope.
Make a displacement.

I would suggest the latter method.

I'm trying to think of some ways to do this simply. You can math it with some displacements, a calculator, and a function for the curvature, but I don't know what you would want.

The displacement method is basically to do what the tutorial Fubar posted says to do, but then create a straight block brush, convert the top face to a displacement, and use Paint Geometry to twist it into the shape of the slope you already made. The tricky part there is getting the inner vertices to line up correctly. This might require making multiple slopes inside one another.

Good luck.
