Death is not the end...
An alpha test version of a variant Arena gamemode, based on LizardOfOz's Vscript Arena (modified with permission).
The concept is fairly straightforward -- it's a normal arena game, except instead of simply staying dead until the end of the round, players who die go to hell -- there they can fight to steal each others souls, and take them to the altar to resurrect themselves back into the main game.
This is intended to primarily give players something meaningful and interesting to do after dying, ideally eliminating one of the most common complaints about Arena mode.
Lore-wise, the intended final product is meant to build on Medic's bargain with the Devil in the comic -- collect enough souls, and you can bargain your way back to Earth.

I'm actively seeking a voice actor for announcer lines as the Devil (as depicted in The TF2 Comics).
Additionally this is my first real mapping project, and I have very limited experience in Hammer. For this reason, in pursuit of something deliverable in time for Halloween, the map thus far is a nighttime reskin of Ravine, with fairly amateur layout for the Hell arena that serves as the underworld.
If you or someone you know has any interest in working on an Arena map layout for Halloween (admittedly tight timeline), don't hesitate to reach out; I'm open to collaboration. If you only have time for the overworld, or want to make a better underworld, or even just want to help with artpassing (which I'm also new at) I can use any help I can get to get this done in time.
