    Hello all.

    Filling the request made a few days ago, I've compiled several of the scrapped model ideas that Valve software had in mind for the original versions of Team Fortress 2.

    Valve built and included the models, but did not include textures with most of them. You will notice the syringe texture is a valve original, but the others were created by myself for this pack.

    These are prop_static models (detail models), and include:

    Beer Stein + 2 skins
    Syringe
    Lead Pipe
    Bear Trap + 2 skins
    Dynamite + 2 skins
    Bomblet + 2 skins

    Please give proper credit if you use these in your map. Also credit Valve Software, the models belong to them!

    Yes...the bundle of explosives look ok with that, in fact they look better because they were so plain, but the single explosive model was much bigger, and I just textured it the same way. It is kinda tacky. I'll fix it later today and update the file.

    Love the beer steins! You ought to retexture the grenades as well - could do some clever in-map references to their removal from the game, such as filling up an inaccessible room with them.

    I believe the beartrap was an alternate for demoman.

    I know this is an incredibly old thread and I'm probably going to get in shit for this, buuuut....

    Here's the official Valve-made textures for the vast majority of scrapped weapons.

    These were discovered last year (or two years ago? I can't remember) in the oldest TF2 depot available through Depot Downloader which the community has named "Version 0". The depots are no longer available but I've got the entire Version 0 depot on my personal (and publicly accessible!) Archives.

    Textures included are:

    - All the grenades
    - Dynamite Pack
    - Nailgun
    - Tranquilizer Gun
    - Lead Pipe
    - Branding Iron (just a white sheet texture, but it's a good base to work off of if you want to recreate it)
    - Club (just a white sheet texture, but it's a good base to work off of if you want to recreate it)
    - Crowbar (don't bother, it's a 4x32 horrible gradient that gets stretched over the entire model)

    With these, you can use the stock models that are still in the game files and the textures will be applied to them.

    I don't suppose the depot included textures for any of the other untextured models too, like the ones in the props_spytech folder...?

    I can most definitely check.

    If you want to root around in the files, here's the GCFs: http://www.unfgaming.net/archives/TF2 Version 0 GCFs.zip

    EDIT: For the rocket silo model, just create a VMT called "rocket_silo001.vmt" and put it into the props_spytech directory. Within the VMT, add in these lines:

    }

    That'll allow the texture to be used for that model.
