If I do stream or even participate it would be at http://www.twitch.tv/roflmanwii
I just figured out how to change grid size in Hammer. Let's win this thing.
Can we get a roll call on who's gonna be in the mumble during the event?
Roll call as of current messages on thread:
- Crash (Stop in)
Will add more when they come up. May be some people not mentioned above. Also, what is the mumble server ip?
I'm probably in there too.
I might stop by the mumble briefly depending on things are going
I assume I'm supposes to wait until the contest starts before I push the 72 hr button...
But that thing is just screaming to be pushed!
The thing at the top of the site?
Push that all you want, before, during and after the 72hr contest.
It literally takes you to this thread.
May as well jump on this bandwagon, I need something to do aside from attempt to resurrect Sulphur.
Count me in.
Jokes about being unprepared. Not like I have the time to participate anyways.
Also, did you seriously just retype my message in a quote box instead of using the feature designed specifically for that?
I'm certain I am going to do this, the lack of a theme should save me a lot of time (at least I hope!) Mapping fast is fun!
On a side note, are we allowed to create custom content (textures/ overlays/ models/ etc.) ourselves before the contest starts, or must it have been created prior to the announcement of the contest? If it isn't okay, that's fine, It's just that I have no idea how to do any of that stuff and I'd want to get it out of the way if I choose to use it in my entry instead of wasting time trying to learn it during the 72 hours.
You're allowed to make your own content beforehand so long as it's publicly released before the start of the mapping period. You can also make your own custom content during the event.
Not sure what I'm gonna do for this, but I'm going to participate.
You can set it up so it doesn't capture mumble. If you have multiple audio outputs, you can capture on a main one and send mumble to the other in mumble's settings. Otherwise, you can use virtual audio cable or a similar program to direct non-mumble audio to a unique input that the capture software can catch, then direct said input to the speakers as well.
Nooooooo This is right on top of the Global Game Jam . The univers dosent want me to take part gain.
I know, I'm already doing this. I just think it's obnoxious for people to either hear one half of the conversation or constantly alt tabbing to type back.
Agreed in that sense.
Separate names with a comma.
