Yeah, we'll probably play that new grack sometime this weekend. I'll look at namicott, the concept sounds interesting, hopefully it plays well.

Yeah, it's still going. I just don't bump this thread that much anymore other than update the list of tested maps on the OP. I dl'd your map, we'll probably take a look at it this weekend. Feel free to add me if you want to be there for the test, info is in the OP.

so what happened with namicott? i'm guessing you didn't enjoy the presence of a deathpit and the antisniper door shenanigans, but it'd be nice to actually hear something from you instead of relying on my guesses

Idk about Namicott, i know I uploaded an alpha of it to the server and I looked at it, but I never tried to pug it, I'm too drunk atm to remember why :p I'll probably look at your latest version tomorrow and see how it looks and we might play it next week. I might be trying to pug the maps that get into the ESEA rotation vote, though, if for no other reason than to expose as many people to those maps as possible to give them a fair shot at getting into rotation. Might be awhile before Killing tells me what'll be included in the vote, though.

Thanks, really appreciate the effort of trying to make a comp version of your map, I know it can be a hassle but sometimes pub and comp interests just don't mesh that well in practice. I'll be sure to look at the map in the next couple days and hopefully be able to pug it this weekend.

Bumping this since I updated the OP a bit.

Sort of want a new Gpit style AD map to play; so, if you have one, let me know :D

Always looking for new maps that would work in 6s.

wonderin' if ya could take a look at the map and sorta evaluate the csf gamemode that mangy made. or possibly pug it cause i leik testing. :)

it's kind of like a tiny, dynamic, faster 5cp with intels. kind of unfocused and dm-y.

    My new koth map

It is using a dual-tiered capture zone at the point, and I'm curious to see how this plays with comp. Optimization is great, but it is a snow map (no particles yet, just ground texture)... if that is an issue I can easily make a non-snow version for you guys.

    Thanks.

I'll look at your map after I get back from the gym, Fr0Z3n. I honestly don't care about snow textures since I've been properly informed that via and cold were just poorly optimized and that the texture doesn't really matter, some people still think snow=low fps, though. The real complaint about snow is that it's hard for color blind players to see the models against the snow and there are enough color blind players at a high enough level that via and cold were given more summer-like textures in NA, among other changes, and, more recently in Europe, Byte re-textured obscure in his remake of that map.

I don't think we have any color blind players that usually pug with us though, so, it shouldn't really matter for the first play test. I guess, if it goes well, you can re-texture it to cater to those players that don't like snow maps.

    Oh, alright.

Thats pretty cool that there is colorblind players. If it comes to it, I'll be more than happy to cater to it.

I'll try to take a look at your map tomorrow, lyra.

Also, prestige, sorry, I dl'd your csf map a long time ago but sort of forgot about it till I saw your post again just now (I was wondering why I had ctf_depression in my map folder :p ). Idk if I can get a pug on it, but I can try.

I updated lyra, if you plan on playing it, it'll be very helpful to me if you play the latest version, since I did make some important changes in it.

    Thanks : )
