I make my desktop backgrounds myself using Blender and Paint.NET. Here's what I created so far.

December 2013:

I quickly noticed that having lots of white makes it difficult to read the white text underneath folders and such.
January 2014:

I changed the contrast and added a vignette. It was useable at least.
July 2014:

I decided to remake it and found it to be ok. later on I also had made a blue version to fit the winter season.
June 2015:

The newest one. I'm still using it today. Only a month ago I made multiple hueshifted versions of it (12 total), which get randomly chosen every hour.

@Tumbolisu can you actually make some basic curves then set the cubes/spheres/whatever else set based on these curves/lines with some random offset and size? I think it's possible in Maya with MEL, but unsure how to randomize UV so these are random color.

On the one hand, it's Pink Floyd in TF2.

On the other hand, it's Echoes. You either don't listen to it or you listen to it in its entirety, no matter what.

well even just general body proportions, nobodys waist is that thin

i start from a stickman which i try to give humanoid proportions before i do anything with, and id recommend anyone else do this
