* 1.3 - added 4 pieces without ties

* 1.2 - recompiled with new blue track skins from the spy/sniper update.

a few simple pieces of mine cart track, to fill in some more options for your payload maps.

new in 1.3:
track pieces with no ties, just rails:
- 64 and 128 straight
- 45 degree 128 radius
- 45 degree 256 radius

turns:
- 45 degree, 128 unit radius turn - essentially half of the existing 90 / 128 track piece.
- 45 degree, 256 radius - half the 90 / 256
- 22.5 degree, 512 radius - 1/4 of a 90 degree turn, as wide as you'll ever need.

straight:
- a 32 unit long straight piece (half the size of the smallest existing piece). with only one crosstie in the middle, you can use it to overlap with other track pieces to fix small distance offsets and get the track aligned nicely with the grid.

bits:
1 tie
1 straight rail piece, 32 units long
3 bent rail pieces, a bit under 32 units long.

they match the existing valve pieces almost exactly, and use the same textures, so you're only adding a model. LODs are included that match the valve ones.

use them however you wish. credit would be nice, but i'm not too worried.

Just hoping you'll update these by recompiling them to include the new track skin found in maps like pipeline. I like the lighter version much more, and it goes well with the alpine environment.

thanx for mentioning it, i wouldnt have noticed for a while. i'll take a look at it. should be easy enough.

again, if anyone has any requests for any piece i havent thought of, they're easy to make now that i have them set up, just ask.

aaannndd done. v1.2 is now up, and supports the new blue skins.

I have a suggestion. Less of a track suggestion though. You know how some tracks have wooden support structures? Would it be possible to get some wooden support beams minus the tracks, but have them follow the track shapes like the 128 straight, the 45 turn etc. It shouldnt be much more difficult then making tracks.

Is it wise to have them extract straight into a pre-designated Valve folder? I was going to suggest telling people where to extract them in your thread but i see you already have the directory set up in your zip.

is there any actual issue? someday valve might add something with the exact same name, and it would possibly cause a conflict... but i figured the chances of that are pretty damn slim. putting them in the same place as the existing track made sense to me, just for convenience while browsing models. let me know if theres anything else going on that i'm unaware of, i'll definitely change it and put out an update or something.

Demon, Your track pieces have just made my day. Thanks so much.
Trying to make a simple 10-30 degree turn is a pain with the stock track pieces.
Hate overlapping train tracks D:
Thx again!

Wow, these are really useful- thanks for making them :)

I think Valve could do with these themselves, look in places like the big tunnel going to cap 1 on Badwater, where valve have actually ended up rotating Straight sections and overlaping them to get these tricky angles :p.
