Comp player's nightmare

TF2 should has Christmas event like Halloween, with new mode, maps make specific for it
That would be fun

I dont see why this is a nightmare to comp players.
B4nny specifically said that the reason why snow theme is rejected in comp is because of the snow particle. When coldfront was edited to comp version, they took out the weather effect but they thought they might as well just change the theme to alpine thus making the warmfront. As far as I'm concerned, this map is still competitively viable. In fact, I'd say that the visibility looks better in some places.

Apparently snow textures look like absolute shit when you turn down your settings, so comp players tend to prefer maps with other themes so they can turn down their graphics but still have something half decent to look at.

Also, I remember trying something like this a long time ago, but I gave up because I didn't know enough about how to re-detail maps.

I mean, it's the difference between looking at a cluster of pixels that looks kind of like grass, and looking at a flat, white texture... so I can see where they're coming from
